Mike Wong discusses the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act at the 6th Annual IL Chamber of Commerce New Laws Forum during his presentation "Medical and Recreational Marijuana". Beginning January 1, 2020 the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act will permit adults over the age of 21 to acquire and use cannabis products. The Act has substantial employment risks for employers on enforcing a drug free workplace. As a consequence, drug testing without any evidence of impairment in the workplace will open the door for legal challenges.
