Mary Ruether won a defense verdict for a municipality in a malpractice and wrongful death claim against a paramedic. The paramedic was accused of violating standing medical orders that required a stair chair for the patient and not monitoring the patient’s heart rhythm. The patient died in the ambulance. Mary cross-examined the plaintiff’s emergency medicine and paramedic experts and directed defense expert cardiologists.
