Senior Counsel, James R. Mata, Joins SmithAmundsen’s Construction Practice

We are pleased to welcome James R. Mata to our Chicago office as a Senior Counsel in our Construction Practice Group.

James is a licensed architect and former project manager for HVAC trades on Chicago skyscraper projects. As a member of our Construction Practice Group, James represents general contractors and trade subcontractors. He has also represented architects, engineers, owners, equipment suppliers, sureties and material suppliers on breach of contract actions, mechanics lien claims, business fraud matters, and torts.
