We are pleased to announce that Kelly Thompson has joined the firm as senior counsel in its Business Litigation and Health Care service groups. Based in the firm’s Indianapolis office, Kelly brings more than 25 years of experience advising businesses on complex litigation and regulatory compliance matters.
Kelly represents companies of all sizes, with a focus on the manufacturing, health care, and medical product industries. Her practice includes defending clients in matters involving general negligence, breach of contract, and product liability, as well as disputes related to trade secrets and post-employment agreements.
Kelly also draws on past legal, privacy, and compliance work within a regional health care system to counsel health care clients on regulatory issues. She offers practical, informed guidance on HIPAA compliance, training, and audits. She also advises on Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute considerations, conducts risk assessments, and assists organizations in developing and implementing policies, including those related to information blocking.
Kelly earned her J.D. and B.A. from Indiana University. She holds a Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) designation from the Health Care Compliance Association.
