Overview
Julie (She/Her) is a seasoned litigator and a pragmatic problem solver. She serves as a trusted advisor to her clients and is an integral part of their business growth. Her extensive litigation experience helps her discern the best route towards resolution, whether it's litigating in court or negotiating outside the courtroom.
As a member of the firm’s Construction Service Group, she represents insurers and businesses in litigation matters involving property damage, business interruption and loss, personal injury, discrimination and failure to pay pursuant to contracts. Having previously worked as in-house counsel for large insurance companies, Julie understands the challenges facing her clients. Her experience as a respected, creative and aggressive subrogation lawyer on behalf of insurance company plaintiffs gives her the insight to help craft thorough and effective defense strategies when her clients are confronted with claims of negligence.
For Julie, there is no greater privilege and responsibility than advocating for her clients and being a voice for those who might not otherwise be heard. She makes it a point to understand her clients’ businesses from a day to day perspective in order to help them achieve their goals. Julie also serves as an adjunct professor of law for advanced lawyering skills (appellate advocacy) at the University of Illinois – Chicago School of Law.
