What legal and business issues do you face when you photograph outside the studio? Do you need permission from people in your images? Can you photograph existing artwork, signs, buildings and crowds? What about location releases? How do 1st Amendment rights factor in?

The Career and Professional Experience (CAP/X) at the School of the Art Institute, The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers, & Lawyers for the Creative Arts hosted a panel presentation, which focused on the rights of privacy and publicity, copyright and trademark clearance and more. Amundsen Davis's Ryan Jacobson participated on the panel, offering a legal viewpoint on the subject.
