AI tools really are changing the way people are working, but they are also creating new security and compliance risks for companies adopting the tools. This session will review the obvious, and sometimes less obvious, risks of using AI tools in your business operations.
Among other things, John Williams and John Pienkos will talk about “Shadow AI” in your workplace and the risks inherent in large language models (LLMs), such as hallucination, data leakage, prompt injection, misinformation, and bias. They will also cover the risks created when you start connecting AI agents to your information resources. They will frame this discussion by working through the scenario of reviewing an “AI Addendum” a vendor has asked you to sign. This exercise will help you get better at spotting emerging AI risks in your organization and designing your compliance programs for the new AI reality.
