Amundsen Davis obtained a defense verdict in favor of a small company and its corporate representative in a trial where the plaintiff claimed violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act based upon alleged unsolicited advertising. The trial took place over four days in the Superior Court of Washington D.C. Before trial, Amundsen Davis successfully defeated class certification on multiple grounds, including inadequacy of the plaintiff representative, lack of common questions predominating and lack of superiority of the class action mechanism.
