Overview

Julie Proscia has been selected as one of nineteen local women executives to be honored at the 16th Annual Influential Women in Business Awards and Recognition Event hosted by the Daily Herald Business Ledger. The awards are presented to outstanding women executives who excel in business, civic and personal arenas.

Julie has been practicing law in the state of Illinois for approximately 10 years. In this relatively short amount of time, Julie has built an impressive labor and employment practice. Since coming to Amundsen Davis in 2009, Julie has been an integral part of the labor and employment team’s growth from five to 20 attorneys and its elevation to one of the most successful practice groups at the firm. This year, Julie was elected to the firm’s equity partnership, becoming the firm’s youngest equity partner in its history.

Julie is well respected by her peers in the legal, business and service communities. She is often asked to speak on trending topics in the labor and employment arena by clients and educational providers around the country. The articles she pens are regularly broadcast to more than 20,000 people across the Midwest through numerous organizations. Additionally, Julie is very active in the Fox Valley area and sits on the Fox Valley United Way Board. She frequently donates her time to local organizations including the Greater Aurora Area Food Pantry, Hesed House, and the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce.

In 2012, Julie was honored as one of the 40 Attorneys Under 40 in the State of Illinois to Watch by Chicago Lawyer magazine. At the time, she was described by a client as, “honest, bright, creative, diligent and aggressive.” Another client stated, “Julie has never failed to give me exceptional assistance.” Amundsen Davis leadership and Julie’s labor and employment team members echo these sentiments.

The Influential Women in Business Recognition awards will be presented at a reception on Thursday, November 7, at the Danada House, 3S501 Naperville Road in Wheaton. The awards are presented in partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners – Chicago Area Chapter and the Women’s Innovation Network (WIN).
