Amundsen Davis is proud to announce it will host a special reception in honor of His Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Gã Mantse and president of the Gã Traditional Council, on the evening of Thursday, July 31. This private event, spearheaded by partners Larry James and Luke Fedlam, is part of a larger celebration of the Ohio Ghana Festival 2025.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II will participate as the distinguished guest of honor at the festival, which celebrates Ghanaian cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, and rich history in Columbus. The city has shared a sister city partnership with Ghana’s capital city, Accra, for more than a decade. This milestone visit presents an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic, cultural, and economic partnership between Ohio and Ghana.

“This visit is more than ceremonial; it is a powerful reminder of our shared values, mutual respect, and the global connections that strengthen our communities,” said Fedlam, co-chair of the Entertainment, Sports & Media Service Group. “We are honored to welcome His Majesty to Columbus and help elevate the cultural and economic ties between Accra and Columbus.”

The reception will warmly welcome King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II to Columbus on the festival’s opening night and embody the 2025 festival theme: “Bridging cultures, celebrating heritage: our Ghana beyond border.” It will bring together community and business leaders, legal professionals, and honored guests for an evening of meaningful connection, cultural appreciation, and celebration of the enduring ties between Ghana and local community.
