Alexander Backe

Alex knows that litigation is cumbersome and frustrating in the best of times. He also knows that there is something special about having the opportunity to tell your side of the story. As a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Service Group, Alex advocates for businesses and professionals in disputes and complex litigation.  

Prior to joining Amundsen Davis, Alex was a public defender in Milwaukee. His background in criminal defense allowed him to gain valued trial experience, which he continuously draws on today. His clients recognize and appreciate his skill in the courtroom, as well as his understanding of their priorities.

Alex decided to be a lawyer while working in Nicaragua for a small team of doctors and health educators who set up mobile clinics. Through this experience he saw the value of their expertise, and the peace of mind that specialized knowledge can provide to whole communities when they have access to a caring and trustworthy source. He decided to go to law school so he could be that trustworthy source for others.
