Many attorneys assume that their Technology Departments set up secure ways for them to store information, but the fact is, human error plays a large role in the breach of confidential client information. An attorney could misaddress an email, a USB drive with client information could be lost or stolen; the possibilities are endless. Attorneys need to be hyper-aware of the potential for information to be misdirected.
