Overview

Patrick Mastrian represented a major national insurance company against a claim of bad faith and extra-contractual liability brought by its insured, who’s theft and fire loss claim was denied by the insurer. At the end of the five-day jury trial, the insured asked for compensatory punitive damages exceeding $10M. The jury deliberated for four hours before returning a complete defense verdict in favor of our client.
