Overview
We are pleased to announce that Matthew D. Lango has joined the firm as senior counsel in its Labor & Employment Service Group. Based in the firm's Chicago office, Matthew brings more than 20 years of experience spanning private practice, public service, and litigation leadership.
Matthew represents employers across industries in employment litigation and workplace disputes before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He counsels clients on employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, workplace investigations, employee discipline, and risk management.
Prior to joining the firm, Matthew served as the litigation group manager for a state government agency, where he managed a team responsible for handling litigation and investigations. His extensive experience assessing allegations, conducting investigations, developing litigation strategy, and navigating complex proceedings offers valuable insight for employers addressing workplace complaints, compliance concerns, and employment disputes.
“Matthew brings deep litigation experience, strong leadership skills, and a practical approach to investigations,” said Heather Bailey, co-chair of the Labor & Employment Service Group. “His ability to help organizations assess risk, respond to complaints, and make sound employment decisions will be a tremendous asset to our clients.”
In addition to his legal practice, Matthew serves as an adjunct instructor at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and teaches advocacy skills through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Please join us in welcoming Matthew to the firm and to our Labor & Employment Service Group.
