Overview
As a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Service Group, Matthew represents employers facing employment discrimination and civil rights claims before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He counsels clients on a wide range of workplace matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, employee discipline, workplace investigations, and risk management.
Drawing on more than 20 years of litigation experience, Matthew brings a strategic and practical approach to resolving complex employment disputes. His background spans leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, where he has managed high-stakes matters through every stage of litigation while developing effective legal strategies. Known for his strong advocacy and thoughtful counsel, Matthew helps employers navigate legal challenges, minimize risk, and achieve favorable outcomes.
In addition to his legal practice, he is an adjunct instructor of ethics and trial practice at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy's Deposition Skills Program, where he teaches litigation strategy, professional responsibility, and advocacy skills.
