Amundsen Davis is pleased to announce that Partner Beverly Alfon has been appointed to the Illinois Labor Advisory Board (Board) as a member by Governor JB Pritzker. Beverly is one of 13 management and labor representatives charged with advising the director of the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) on matters of labor policy and enforcement of laws, and making recommendations on the IDOL’s administrative regulations.
Beverly brings 25 years of experience to the Board. While she began her career representing labor unions and their members, she has exclusively represented employers in all aspects of labor and employment law for the past 15 years. This well-rounded background provides her with valuable perspective that informs her day-to-day practice and will do the same for her contributions to the Board.
The Office of the Governor announced Beverly’s appointment to the Board on January 26, 2026. All appointments are subject to Illinois Senate confirmation and are considered temporary pending approval.
