Jonathan Mraunac

Known for his candor and direct communication style, Jonathan tells clients what they need to know even when it is not what they want to hear. By offering honest, straightforward advice and counsel, he helps his clients navigate each step of the legal process and manage their expectations.

As a member of the firm's Construction Service Group, Jonathan represents individuals and businesses in the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and real estate owners to resolve breach-of-contract, delay-and-disruption, design-defect, mechanics-lien, and other related claims. Additionally, he provides a broad range of services to private property owners, including transactional and litigation guidance in connection with corporate formation, structuring, and governing documents; new construction and property remodeling/renovation; leasing and short-term rental; insurance claims; disputes between owners and condominium/common-interest associations; and evictions.

He educates his clients on proactive, practical risk mitigation strategies to contractually avoid exposure and when disputes arise, prevent them from escalating. As a seasoned litigator and transactional attorney, Jonathan has deep experience in contracting and all aspects of litigation in state and federal court, from pre-trial preparation through courtroom representation, settlement, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal.

Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan served as general counsel for a health care startup in the mental-health service industry for five years, advising the enterprise on all transactional, compliance, and litigation matters in a heavily regulated industry.
