As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, more and more essential workers are becoming ill and worker activist groups and labor unions are being put in the spotlight. In Beverly Alfon’s article in USLAW’s Fall 2020 issue titled, “Worker Activism and Union Organizing Amid COVID-19”, she discusses the difference between worker centers and labor unions and how employers can be proactive against organization by assessing their vulnerability and considering an avoidance plan.
