Speaking Engagement
Kalahari Resort; Wisconsin Dells, WI

Ever-changing federal and state laws and regulations can impose significant burdens on assisted living providers regarding COVID-19 vaccination and testing of staff. These burdens are complicated by concerns over discrimination, retaliation, and exemption requests due to disability or sincerely held religious beliefs, all in the context of low staffing in the industry. This presentation will explain the state of the law as of the date of the Spring Conference and address how providers can best comply with their legal obligations while meeting their employment and resident care needs. Attendees will be better prepared to address staff vaccination and testing issues regarding COVID-19 based on the current laws at the time of the conference. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions of attorneys with experience in the fields of employment and long-term care. Join Alec Dobson and Laurie Meyer for their presentation at this year’s Wisconsin Assisted Living Association annual spring conference.
