Overview

Obtained summary judgment in favor of our client, an office superstore, dismissing all of the plaintiff’s claims with prejudice in a personal injury matter which we removed to the Southern District of Illinois.  Plaintiff alleged that she sustained significant injuries, including a potential brain injury, after slipping and falling on a patch of ice in the parking lot which remained after snow removal services had been performed.  Summary judgment was granted as the plaintiff failed to present evidence from which a jury could conclude that the patch of ice was the result of unnatural accumulation.
