Amundsen Davis, a leading Midwest law firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Constantine Gavrilos, Katie Hampel, William Nickol, Eric Pagnamenta, Patrick Richel, and Laurie Smigielski to partner in its Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Charles offices.

Constantine Gavrilos, a member of the Construction Service Group in Chicago, concentrates primarily on litigation and transactional work in the construction and commercial real estate industries. He represents clients facing contract, construction defect, tort and personal injury, municipal code compliance, landlord-tenant, and OSHA issues.

Katie Hampel, a member of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Service Group, advises business owners on corporate matters, including business formations, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and land use and zoning matters. She guides clients through negotiations, drafting purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence, and reviewing complex lease documents to support their business goals.

William Nickol, a member of the General Liability Service Group in St. Charles and Chicago, advises individuals and companies in the commercial transportation, construction, and manufacturing industries. He handles personal and property damage claims arising from motor vehicle and commercial transportation accidents, construction accidents, construction defects, premises liability, breach of warranty, product defects, and general negligence.

Eric Pagnamenta, a member of the Retail Service Group in Chicago, represents clients in a broad range of civil defense matters ranging from construction claims to civil rights cases. He also advises health care professionals on contract and related business issues.

Patrick Richel, a member of the Construction Service Group in Chicago, advises clients on risk mitigation and defends them in breach of contract issues, indemnity disputes, and insurance liability matters.

Laurie Smigielski, a member of the Labor & Employment Service Group in Chicago, counsels employers on issues related to wage and hour compliance, wrongful termination, discrimination and retaliation, and other workplace issues. She provides practical, business-focused guidance to help them navigate complex employment matters.
